Francis and Riversdale Grenfell signed by John Buchan 1st 1920

First edition and first print published by Thomas Nelson and Sons in 1920. This is a very good ++ copy. The boards are pushed to the corners and to the top and bottom of the spine. There is a very light fade to the spine also. The rough cut pages are in very clean and tidy condition. There is no previous owners ink or inscriptions and no or very little foxing. Overall a very good ++ copy.

This copy has been signed on the front free end paper by John Buchan and dated in the month of publication (October 1920) to Sir Robert Sangster Rait CBE DL (10 February 1874 – 25 May 1936) who was a Scottish historian, Historiographer Royal and Principal of the University of Glasgow.

Memoirs about a friendship and biography of Francis and Riversdale (Rivy) Grenfell. Both brothers were killed in action in World War I in 1914.
