First UK edition published by Macdonald in 1954. This is a very good copy. The jacket has some creasing to the top left hand corner of the front panel. On the reverse at the top of the spine is a couple of tape repairs. It is not price clipped and the spine is only a shade browned. The book has mottling to the boards, some faint foxing to the text block and a neat small previous owners name to the front free end paper. Overall a very good copy. A classic in English cooking. This is a better copy than is usually encountered and so rare.
