Flash for Freedom! by George Macdonald Fraser 1st / 1st 1971
First edition and first print published by Barrie & Jenkins in 1971. This is a fine copy. The immaculate wrapper has not been price clipped and has the miniscule amounts of wear. There is no fading to the spine at all and the stunning wrapper retains all of its colour. The book also is very presentable with no inscriptions or foxing / browning. A collectible fine copy.
Flash for Freedom! begins with Flashman considering an attempt at being made a Member of Parliament and continues through his involvement in the Atlantic slave trade, the Underground Railroad, and meeting a future president, detailing his life from 1848 to 1849. It also contains a number of notes by Fraser, in the guise of editor, giving additional historical information on the events described. The 3rd in 'The Flashman Papers' series.
