An A4 sized grey card folder, with lettering on the front in red, ruled; inside tucked into a pocked on the inside lower card are 5 colour prints dated between 1945 and 1952 with margins, each one signed in blue ink by Peter Scott; on the inside pocked in the same red font is a description of each image along with a note that reads: “These pictures have appeared on the covers of the first five annual reports of the Severn Wildfowl Trust. This is the first time that they have been made available with margins, and suitable for framing”; overall the folder and 5 signed prints are in very good condition, the folder has the odd mark to the covers and a small stain to the inside pocket, the 5 prints all seem free from marks and are in nice condition.

A typed letter signed by Peter Scott, again in blue ink. It is about A5 size and is on a wonderful headed paper, with flying geese at the top. It is dated in 1952, the same year that the folder was produced by The Severn Wildfowl Trust. Scott answers a geese related question in the short letter. It has been folded twice and is also in very good condition. 
 
In 1946, Scott founded the Severn Wildfowl Trust, with an initial aim of saving the Nene or Hawaiian Goose from extinction. He would go on to popularise the study of wildfowl becoming a regular on TV, in a series called Look that ran during the 50s and 60s. Many copies of this set have been broken up with the pictures sold separately and framed, so it is rare to find a set complete with the original folder along with the associated letter, all from and about the beginnings of the trust.
