Farewell to Cricket Signed by Don Bradman 1st / 1st 1950
First UK edition published by Hodder and Stoughton in 1950. This is a very good copy. The dust wrapper has a small amount of loss to the top of the spine. The corner tips and spine ends are rubbed / have wear. The spine has a scuff mark. It is not price clipped and is a better example of jacket than is usually found. The boards and spine of the book are presentable albiet the gilt has dulled. The book has a previous owner's name on the inside board. The pages in general are very clean and without foxing marks. This copy is particularly rare as it has Don Bradman's signature below his portrait frontispiece. It is very hard indeed to find a copy that has been signed directly to the book.
The Don - greatest cricket player to have ever graced the game. This is Donald Bradman's autobiography, where he talks about his childhood and then his journey to sporting immortality. This copy is extremely rare due to it being signed by him.
