A limited edition published by The Pendomer Press in 1979. This is one of only 200 de-luxe copies and sits within its paper-covered Slip-case. It is in near fine condition. Original quarter black morocco-backed Edward Bawden-designed patterned boards with the lettering on the spine in gilt. Printed on Glastonbury Book Antique Laid 120gsm. Set in 12/14 point Monotype Modern Extended and printed by offset litho. Publisher's original orange slip-case. The slipcase has a faded patch and the folder with the additional lithograph has some minor wear.
An in depth look into the work of Edward Bawden with many colour and b & w illustrations. Contains an original colour lithograph "Nekayah, the Prince and Imlac in Cairo' (from 'The History of Rasselas, Prince of Abyssinia' by Samuel Johnson.) Titled, numbered and signed in pencil at foot by Edward Bawden. A near fine copy with its original slip case and separate signed lithograph by bawden.
