Bertrand Russell opened a school with his second wife Nora Black called Beacon Hill in 1927 where they aimed to teach children to leave behind superstition and irrational views of previous generations. Both Russell and Black also published works on education around this time, Russell penning two titles, this one being the second where he discusses the impact of religion, sex, morals, patriotism, class and competition in education.
