Come to the Cook-House Door! Signed by Juliet De Key Whitsed 1st / 1st 1932
First UK edition and first print published by Herbert Joseph in 1932. This is a very good ++ copy. Original rough cloth lettered in black to the spine and front board. A bugle device also to the front board. With its scarce complete dust wrapper that isn't price clipped. No loss with just minor wear to the extremities. Overall a very good ++ copy.
Come to the Cook-house Door! A V.A.D in salonika is the author's biography and diaries of her work as a VAD in WW1 between June 1917 and June 1919. A scarce copy with only four other copies on copac. This one retains the original jacket and is also additionally signed by Whitsed to the front free end paper. A scarce WW1 title.
