Child Whispers by Enid Blyton 1st / 1st 1922

FIRST UK EDITION published by J Saville & Co in 1922. Orange card covers, 24 pages and displaying the correct price on the front of 2/6 nett. The covers are generally dulled and the corners rubbed. There is the odd mark to the pages. The front free end paper displays the names and dates relating to three previous owners. The staples have rusted but have kept all the pages and covers together. A fragile production and overall in very good condition.
 
Enid Blyton's first published works. Tony Summerfield states in his bibliography that it was issued in June 1922. The author includes 28 poems for children about fairies, goblins and other fantastical creatures. The front cover is illustrated by Phyllis Chase. It is a scarce title to find and a highlight for Blyton collectors.
