Captain Albert Ball by R.H. Kiernan 1st / 1st 1933

Captain Albert Ball by R.H. Kiernan 1st / 1st 1933

London: John Hamilton (1933). First UK edition of this scarce biography especially so with the dust wrapper and in very near fine condition. The wrapper is immaculate. There is very little if any wear. The book is sturdy and square. There is spotting to the top text block. Overall a near fine copy.

Biography of one of Britains most distinguised flying aces.

Ball was only twenty years old when he was shot down himself, but up to that point he was credited with shooting down 43 german flyers. Was awarded the Victoria Cross and Distinguised Service Order.
