Uncorrected Proof published by Jonathan Cape in 1965. One of three states of the proof, with no priority order given. Proof in publisher's green monogrammed soft covers, with provisional publication date and price to label on front cover. A clean very good copy with only light handling wear.
 
Len Deighton's pictorial 'Cook Strips' originally appeared in The Observer and are illustrated by him. He would go on to write several more follow up cookery books.
