FIRST UK EDITION. Published by John Murray in 1978. The wrapper is faultless and has not been price clipped. It displays the correct price of £5.50 net. The book has very minor rubbing to the spine ends. There is a previous owner's bookplate on the front free endpaper, that being of notable collector and friend of the author, Ian Vaughan Arbuckle. Overall, the book is in very near fine condition. It has also been inscribed by Dervla Murphy to the title page and dedicated to Vaughan Arbuckle, signed twice and dated August 2001. Accompanying the book is a loose postcard from Dervla Murphy to Vaughan Arbuckle, with a short note from the author, also signed.

She engaged with many over a pint and managed to get around unfetered as she conducted her reseach. Scarce signed by Dervla Murphy.
