A Glass of Blessings by Barbara Pym 1st / 1st 1958

FIRST UK EDITION published by Jonathan Cape in 1958. The Robin Jacques illustrated dustwrapper is complete and hasn't been price clipped, albeit a previous bookseller has crossed the price out in pencil. The back panel is browned and there is a small tear to the bottom left hand corner of the front panel. The book has some mild rubbing to the corner tips and spine ends. The pages are clean and without foxing or other marks. It is a very good or better copy of this very rare title. 
 
Pym's fifth novel. It received mixed reviews on first publication but has gained appreciation over the years. This culminated in a BBC adaptation in 1991. It has become very rare to find a first edition with the jacket. One of the hardest early Barbara Pym titles to obtain.
