A first edition and first print published by Heinemann in London 1975. This copy is near fine. The wrapper has minor wear and browning along the edges. There is a small rip on two of the corners of the wrapper. It has not been price clipped. The text block is clear without foxing. The pages are clean and without browning. There are no tears on the pages. There are no previous owners ink marks. Overall this copy is in a near fine condition. 
 
A Division of the Spoils is the 1975 novel by Paul Scott. It is the fourth and final book of his Raj Quartet. The novel is set in the British Raj. It follows on from the storyline in The Jewel in the Crown, The Day of the Scorpion, and The Towers of Silence.
