£375.00Price

First and only edition being a limitation of 250 copies. This is copy number 236. Printed on hand made paper and printed by the Curwen Press in 1927. This copy is in very good condition. Printed in hardback with paper boards and a cloth spine with paper label. The boards have one scratch mark otherwise the rough cut pages are clean and the book is without foxing or previous owners marks. Replacement paper label is tipped into the back board. Overall a very good copy.

The 1927 version is illustrated prefusely by the artist Stanley Spencer and is his one and only contribution to a book. Unlike the 1926 Almanack, there are no contributions from authors or poets but instead there is a lengthy catalogue of new titles tipped into the back, along with a diary for use by the owner. All pages in this copy are clear and have not been used. Spencer has contributed a full page illustration for the start of each month along with several tail pieces. A rare book with so many Stanley Spencer illustrations provided throughout.
