The first trade edition dust wrapper is without notable signs of wear and is bright and presentable. It has not been price clipped. The black boards are without chips and marks and with a bright gilt title at the spine. The text blocks remain bright and white throughout this copy. The first Mermaid Edition, limited to 1000 copies, renders this copy as no.65. The author’s signature is without inscription and is on the frontal free endpaper in black ink. This limited-edition copy is partnered with the true Methuen first edition.
